Our Vision
We believe technology should be developed to serve humanity, and that potential harms of new technology should be studied, understood, and regulated before large-scale deployment.
Technology should benefit diverse populations of society, and should not limit its benefits to a few at the expense of harm to the many. It should respect the agency of users and minimize impact on those who decline engagement.
We believe that human creative works (writing, art, music, dance, and others) represent the very best of human expression and communication. Creative forms of human expression should be celebrated, preserved, and protected by technology.
AI can and should be developed ethically and efficiently, in cooperation and with input from human creatives. For AI to continue to evolve and thrive, it needs to coexist in a mutually beneficial setting with human creatives, respecting consent while providing transparency and accountability. A thriving creative ecosystem for human creatives is essential for the continued growth of generative AI.
